Introduction

The intellectual gatherings held by the King Abdul-Aziz Center for National Dialog are an essential pillar in our home country's march towards consolidating participation and positive dialog among all sectors of the society and its effective social powers.

The King Abdul-Aziz Center for National Dialog has a comprehensive mission to seriously establish an environment of tolerance and continuous convergence. Through programs that will start soon, the Center endeavors disseminate the dialog culture and ensure the etiquette and discipline of dialog are observed and applied in all aspects of our daily life.

As we approach today the Third Intellectual Dialog Gathering, we get confidence and determination from the Almighty and then from the fruitful results achieved in the previous two gatherings. If we have to refer to those two meetings. We do that because they formed a clear picture of the Center in the mind of citizens on the one hand, and gave, on the other hand, a plain impression of our need for dialog and discussion which lead to understanding our social, cultural and educational reality. Concern with these pillars reflects concern with our present and future simultaneously.

In this gathering, we celebrate enlightened minds which realize that their missing in serving our nation is what each and every citizen looks up to.

The national dialog idea came into being as a new highlight of the awareness march which takes us steps ahead day after day on the soil of this great nation for the purpose of it's advancement, development and stability
